Highlights of 2023

As we reflect on the year 2023, I am pleased to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable support provided by companies to La Savanne Environmental and Development Association (LEDA). Your commitment to our organization's mission has significantly contributed to the success of our initiatives, particularly in the areas of education and safety. We would like to express our gratitude for the various contributions made by your company throughout the year. Your support has made a positive impact on the lives of many individuals within our community. Below is a summary of the contributions made by the following companies


Company: Perenco

In the month of August, Perenco generously donated 10 school bags with stationery for 10 children, with an average cost of $3,500.00. From September to November, Perenco extended its support by sponsoring LEDA with 4 STCW training sessions, incurring an average cost of $12,000.00.


Company: BPTT

Between May and October 2023, bpTT sponsored the Basic Safety Onshore Training for 8 of our members, with an average cost of $18,000.00. In August 2023, bpTT demonstrated its commitment to community welfare by generously donating $1,000 to each of 8 families for back-to-school, totaling an average cost of $8,000.00. Furthermore, in November 2023, bpTT continued their philanthropic efforts by contributing 10 hampers, each valued at $1,000, for 10 deserving families.


Company: EOG

From March to June, EOG generously sponsored 36 of our members, providing training in Basic Onshore Safety (10 members, $20,000.00), Firewatch (15 members, $22,000.00), and H2S (11 members, $11,000.00). The total sponsorship during this period amounted to $60,187.50.


Company: Woodside Energy

In March 2023, Woodside Energy demonstrated its commitment to our organization by generously sponsoring the following training programs:


10 Basic Onshore Safety at a cost of $20,000.00

5 Opito Rigger at a cost of $32,500.00

5 Opito Banksman at a cost of $37,500.00

The average cost of this sponsorship amounted to $101,250.00


Similarly, in October 2023, Woodside Energy continued its support by sponsoring the following training initiatives:

6 H2S Training at a cost of $5,544.00

6 Basic Onshore Training at a cost of $15,609.00

10 Tbosiet Training at a cost of $41,800.00

The average cost for this round of sponsorship totaled $70,822.13. Woodside Energy's consistent investment in our training programs reflects their dedication to fostering a safe and skilled workforce.

The total sponsorship during this period amounted to $172, 072.13.


Company: Access Expect ( Ronald Kalloo)

In March 2023, Access Expert exemplified their commitment to professional development by generously sponsoring the training and certification of 12 of our members in scaffolding. This sponsorship incurred a total cost of $42,000.00.


Company: El Dorado Offshore

In August 2023, El Dorado Offshore demonstrated its philanthropic commitment by sponsoring 132 children with school items. Each child received a package estimated at approximately $350.00, resulting in an average total cost of $47, 200.00. This initiative reflects El Dorado Offshore's dedication to supporting education and community welfare.


Company: NGC

From August to September 2023, the National Gas Company (NGC) demonstrated its commitment to community support by sponsoring 20 of our children with $500.00 vouchers. These vouchers were directed towards the purchase of school uniforms, resulting in a total sponsorship amount of $10,000.00. This initiative underscores NGC's dedication to fostering educational opportunities within the community. We are also tremendously blessed with 18 Christmas hampers showcasing the festivity of the season while bringing joy to the families of our community.


Company: Heritage Petroleum Ltd

From August to September 2023, Heritage Petroleum exemplified its commitment to community engagement by sponsoring 20 children with $500.00 vouchers. These vouchers were provided to facilitate the purchase of school uniforms, resulting in a total sponsorship amount of $10,000.00. This initiative underscores Heritage Petroleum's dedication to supporting educational endeavors within our community.


Company: Massy Wood

In August 2023, Massy Wood exhibited its commitment to community support by sponsoring five children with $500 vouchers each, dedicated to the purchase of their school uniforms. This initiative resulted in a total sponsorship amount of $2,500.00.


Company: Stork

In August, Stork demonstrated its philanthropic commitment by making a generous donation of $1,500 to our organization, specifically directed toward supporting back-to-school initiatives.


Company: Buxo Trinidad

In December 2023, BUXO Trinidad exemplified its commitment to community well-being by generously donating 10 hams and 10 turkeys, providing support to 20 families within the community. The total cost of this thoughtful contribution amounted to $6,000. They also sponsored us with 30 hampers with a total of $6,000.00


Company: TN Ramnauth

In December 2023, TN Ramnauth generously contributed 20 hampers to our organization, demonstrating a commendable commitment to philanthropy and community support. We sincerely appreciate and acknowledge this gracious gesture.


Company: D.G. Inspection Services Ltd

From July to December 2023, D.G. Inspection Services Ltd, LEDA extends its gratitude for your presence in our community and for providing comprehensive compressor watch training on various dates for 17 of our members. Your invaluable support has significantly contributed to the welfare and safety of our community members. Thank you for your dedication and professionalism. Your contribution will not go unnoticed we will make it know to all our social media accounts. $10,000.00.


Company: GCG Group

In the fiscal year 2023, GCG Group graciously sponsored our organization with four hampers valued at $800.00 each, resulting in a total contribution of $3,200.


Company: Humming bird (HHSL)

Humming Bird (HHSL) has graciously provided sponsorship for our organization, encompassing one Tbosiet training and two Basic Onshore Safety Training sessions for the fiscal year 2023, amounting to an average cost of $9,000.00.

Company: JSL

In the year 2023, JSL Company sponsored the motorman training for four of our members, incurring a total cost of $16,000.00.


The amount of members LEDA trained for the year 2023 with different skill sets such as (Banksman, Riggers, Motorman, Firewatchers, Basic Onshore Safety, Tbosiet, H2s) is 126 members.

The total amount of money spent on training  $339,259.63

The total amount of money spent on hampers  $34,800.00

The total amount of money spent on back to school Support  $82,700.00

TOTAL AMOUNT OF CONTRIBUTION RECEIVED FOR THE MONTH OF 2023  $456,759.63
